| 1. A provisional reservation is accepted
and held for a period of 7 days. If confirmation and the booking deposit
are not received within this period, the reservation is automatically cancelled. 2. No reservation is valid unless the booking form is completed and received by Cambridge Passenger Cruisers, together with the deposit of 60% of boat charter or ticket value, whichever is applicable. The balance of the hire fee is payable TWO WEEKS before the date reserved. If a reservation is made within two weeks of the date reserved, the total hire fee is required. 3. The balance of monies due for the supply of goods and services is payable 14 days prior to the date reserved. We reserve the right to cancel the cruise if these terms are not adhered to. Clients running bar and wine accounts must settle their account before leaving the boat. 4. All instructions concerning the supply of food, wine, drinks, music, etc.,must be in writing at the time of the booking. Instructions will only be accepted from one organiser or representative. Written confirmation of the final number of persons to be catered for must be received no later than 14 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE REQUIRED. No alterations are accepted after that date. * Please note: if entertainment is booked on your behalf and you cancel, you are responsible for any cancelation fee incurred. * 5. Hirers wishing to run a bar account must be specific concerning exclusions i.e. cigarettes, cigars, double measures, certain drinks, etc. 6. Clients may engage the services of a band or discotheque provided that the musicians and personnel adhere strictly to the Captain's instructions regarding all applicable laws, regulations and bye-laws. Musicians or discotheque personnel must be included in the maximum number of passengers allowed. In no circumstances will Cambridge Passenger Cruisers be responsible for the settlement of musicians' or discotheque fees which are the responsibility of the client. Entertainments provided by the client will incur a surcharge from Cambridge Passenger Cruisers. 7. Clients' own wine can be accommodated but corkage will be charged. 8. Dogs are not allowed on board under any circumstances (Guide dogs excepted). 9. Cancellation. ANY REFUND OF DEPOSIT IS AT THE SOLE DISCRETION OF CAMBRIDGE PASSENGER CRUISERS. However, a deposit may be refunded by Cambridge Passenger Cruisers provided that six weeks written notification of cancellation is given by the Hirer, who will, in any event, be subject to a service charge of 10% of the hire fee. The Hirer is liable for the balance of the hire fee and the cost of any goods or services reserved on the Hirer's behalf should cancellation, for any reason whatsoever, take place during the six weeks prior to the date reserved. 10. Neither Cambridge Passenger Cruisers nor any of its employees or agents shall be liable for any damage or loss to passengers possessions howsoever caused, whether sustained onboard the vessel or whilst embarking or disembarking. Passengers using the vessel, steps, gangway, landing stages must comply with all safety requirements notified to them by the Hiror or the Captain or the crew of the vessel. 11. Cambridge Passenger Cruisers may at the discretion of the Captain vary the course of the voyage should circumstances so necessitate. Cambridge Passenger Cruisers does not warrant that the vessel will commence or complete any journey or part thereof in any given time, or if conditions beyond the control of Cambridge Passenger Cruisers render it unsafe to cruise i.e. fog, flood, strong winds, etc. Whilst Cambridge Passenger Cruisers will endeavour to conform with the reasonable requests of the Hirer, of which the Captain alone shall be the sole judge, Cambridge Passenger Cruisers accepts no liability for any loss or inconvenience, damage or injury or for failure to convey any member or members of a party howsoever caused. 12. The Captain is in sole charge of the vessel at all times and all passengers are under his/her jurisdiction whilst onboard. Any person behaving in a manner likely to cause a breach of the peace or in a manner likely to cause danger to the safety of the vessel, themselves or other persons, will be requested to disembark. 13.The Hirer shall make good and/or pay for all losses, damage or breakages to any fixtures, fittings, machinery or equipment, particularly safety equipment e.g. lifebuoys deliberately thrown overboard and subsequently lost during the hire period. 14. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE HIRER TO ACQUAINT EACH MEMBER OF HIS/HER PARTY WITH THE ABOVE CONDITIONS OF HIRE AS LAID DOWN BY CAMBRIDGE PASSENGER CRUISERS. |
